Hozier Unreal Unearthed

This poster was created as a tribute to Hozier’s 2024 Unreal Unearthed tour. The assignment was to take images and type and create a well constructed layout on InDesign. By using the album cover along with stock images that capture the essence of the album the composition blends haunting, classical imagery with natural textures to reflect the album’s themes of mythology, longing, and rebirth. Drawing inspiration from Hozier’s lyricism and storytelling to piece together images that can replicate the feel and story that the album conveys. The visual tone captures this through color gradation, ethereal imagery, and an emphasis on organic forms. For example the poster’s centerpiece, a figure buried beneath the earth, speaks to the album’s themes of being unearthed, both literally and emotionally. This project allowed me to explore poster design as a narrative medium not just promotional. The final result is a poster that invites the viewer into Hozier’s world before they’ve heard a single note.
